As I write this we are rolling toward our show tonight in Sandusky, Ohio. We’ve seen a snowstorm in Wyoming……..18 inches of snow……blowing snow…..ice rink. I’ve been blown away by people’s willingness to get involved and make a show happen in states where a show has canceled, or we just found difficult to book.
We need help booking house concerts in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, and New Jersey in the next week, so let me know if you have any ideas?

Caruthersville, Missouri-Nov. 3rd– Our Kansas City, Missouri house hosts went away……..victim of divorce. Bummer…..it was booked WAY in advance, but those are the breaks. We needed to book a show quickly. Kaci got on Facebook and found an old college buddy that got pretty excited about us coming to play. We weren’t disappointed.
Burlington, Iowa-Nov. 4th– Kaci’s friend, David Kroll, set up this show in his hometown of Burlington, Iowa. Wow…….very talented guy, and huge crowd. We had a great meal after the show at his mom’s house………went to bed very satisfied.
Wayzata, Minnesota-Nov. 5th– I met Scott Brown in Key West probably 6 or 7 years ago. He got on my email list at the show, and we’ve talked for years about him hosting a house concert. We finally did it. Great guy……….former Los Angeles Police Officer, EMT, and now works in Insurance.
On the way to the gig we made a surprise stop at The Surf Ballroom. I was really excited for Sean. He is a huge Buddy Holly fan, so it was pretty special to be able to see it.
De Pere, Wisconsin-Nov. 6th– I LOVE how this gig came about. Basically, I booked the North Dakota show through a twitter friend, and after that show……she found out about our need for a Wisconsin date due to cancellation……….and got on Facebook and found an old school friend in Wisconsin…….that then contacted her parents and asked if they would host the house concert……I know, I’m confused, too.
It was one of my favorite house concerts so far.
Long Grove, Illinois-Nov. 7th-We rolled after the show in Wisconsin……pulling into a hotel at about 4am…….beaten down. The next morning we rolled down to Long Grove, and had a great day at the house host’s salon……..Sean got his first massage. Our host treated us. Lovely. We needed it.
We rolled after the show toward Indiana………I showed Sean downtown Chicago.
Boonville, Indiana-Nov. 8th-Nina from Facebook posted on my wall……..”where are you playing in Indiana?”……I posted back, “at your house”………the rest in history. Love it.
Jackson, Michigan-Nov. 9th-This house concert was hosted by an old friend named Chuck Bedwell. He worked with my dad at House of Gold Publishing during the heyday. The house was amazing.
Ok, we are almost to our Ohio show…….Pennsylvania tomorrow night, and then New York, New York. The Following states still need to be filled. Any ideas? Friends? Email me.

If you want to host a house concert in one of those states, or have a friend, or family in those states……then please email me and let’s figure it out. We have to keep the streak going to fulfill the 50 States in 50 Days commitment. Last year some of the BEST house concerts were booked the day before, so i’m fired up to see what transpires over the next few days. Just email me, or call me on 615-713-2124………but not early………smile.
The 50 States in 50 Days tour will see us driving about 22,000 miles in my truck, and flying a few thousand as well. I estimated the fuel costs today, and it came out to $2494.70 for the entire tour!
