As you can see……..time is a-tickin’ before the beginning of the 2009 50 States in 50 Days tour begins. I’m literally running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to finalize the tour dates. There have been some setbacks this week (Oregon and Washington), but things are coming along great. I’m loving twitter. My twitter buds are coming up trumps with helping book the tour.
There are still some troubles spots on the tour-Oregon, North Dakota, Iowa, Indiana, CT, MA, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah, California, Hawaii. If you can help by hosting a house concert in any of these States, or know someone who would be interested in hosting one, then please get in touch.
I leave Oct. 12th for Tokyo, Japan to play the Paul Rusch festival in Kiyasoto, Japan. We also play a house concert in a very old house with 200 year old artwork on the walls…..will try not to spill my Kirin. We are very excited about playing in this festival. Straight from Japan we fly back to the LA, and begin the drive to Washington for the first date of the 50 States in 50 Days tour.
I say “we”……this year’s sidekick for the 50 States tour will be Kaci Bolls. Every once in awhile a voice comes along that blows you away……she did it. She also promises to be a good help on the road. Also, joining us on the tour will be Sean Snook. He has been playing guitar with me in the UK/Europe…….he is from Bristol, England………..and has NEVER been to the US, so i’m fired up that he is joining us for the tour.
Speaking of the UK and touring………straight after the 50 States in 50 Days tour I begin a UK tour in Scotland on Dec. 28th. The tour dates for both the US and UK are posted below. I’m adding dates daily, and if you want to host a house concert in the UK, Ireland, or Europe, OR have us in your village hall, then please email me and we will talk.

I did some math today, and I reckon we will drive about 22,000 miles…….fly a few thousand more (Alaska, Miami, and Hawaii)…….and the gas will cost about $2,474.70. If you’d like to help move us along the road by buying a tank of gas, or a gallon or two……you can do so by clicking on the photo below…….smile.
What special thing should I do for you for donating? Thoughts? Comment below……..I have a new commenting system. You can comment with your twitter profile, Facebook profile, OpenID, etc, etc. If you use your facebook identity you can push this story back to your “newsfeed”…….which is a great way of helping me spread the word about the tour. You might even scare up a house concert for me with one of your facebook friends!
Also new………this widget from Tunecore.com. They came up with the widget of all widgets. You can buy from Itunes, share with your friends via facebook, twitter, email……..all within the widget. Every independent artist should use them for their digital distribution. I love them……especially now that they’ve come up with this widget. Again, think about about pushing the widget back to your facebook friends?!?!

That is a good idea. I don't know how to do it technically, but that is a very sound idea………let me look into that. I will send anyone who donates a file of “Way Back When”………the one that has never been released, but it on alot of the videos from last year's 50 States in 50 Days tour…………….that is a good idea.
