The 2009 50 States in 50 Days tour is rapidly approaching. I still need help booking house concerts in 23 States. I’m not worried, because it is part of the beauty of booking a tour with the help of your fans/friends, twitter, facebook, myspace……..on the 2008 50 States tour some of the best house concerts happened the DAY before the state was coming up. It is about sharing, and connecting, and there is a story behind the whole idea of a crazy tour like this.
I need YOU to help me finalize the schedule. If you would like to host a house concert, then please get in touch, OR if you can convince a friend or family member in the following States to host a house concert…..well, that is what this tour is all about…..connections:

It’s a great site Kevin – can’t fault it. So much information using all the widely used tools – I’m in awe at your knowledge of using computing media.

You definitely need to sort that beard out though!

You've got TN listed above as a connection, but also mentioned in the video as something you still need… got it covered?

kevinmontgomery September 4, 2009 at 12:32 am

I'm not sure about Tennessee? Last year, my friend Gary hosted it and i'm talking to him about it again. It falls on Thanksgiving Day, so that is why I wanted to do it with him………he is like family and we could have folks oever for a party……..thoughts?

kevinmontgomery September 4, 2009 at 12:34 am

Yes, the beard is unruly. I realized it after i shot the video, but when I tried to re-shoot the segment I sounded like an insincere butthead……..so, I left it.
Thanks for the compliments . I've been sitting at the computer now for 15 hours, so somewhere along the way I think I'm beginning to learn this stuff! It takes hard work. Thanks for commenting.

I think Dave Letterman needs to find out about you so he can invite you on his show. The tour is so original and you are incredibly talented.

kevinmontgomery September 4, 2009 at 1:41 am

Thank you for saying that, Vicki…….I'd love to be on Letterman. He knows where to find me. Well, maybe not, but I'd love to be on the show!!!!

Hiya Kevin ~ I'm happy to say that I'll be hosting (hostessing??) your Little Rock, Arkansas show in December– and looking forward to it! I have family in Alabama (Athens-not too far from Nashville) and will be seeing them over the Labor Day holiday at a family reunion…I'll check on that for you and get back in touch! Take care, you!!

kevinmontgomery September 4, 2009 at 2:51 am

Yes, I'm really looking forward to it. Let me know what you come up with!? Kevin

kevinmontgomery September 4, 2009 at 2:52 am

Hi Kevin, Lou and I will be at the Clovis Music Festival covering the event for Keep Rockin' Magazine. Hope to see you there. In the meantime, check out our website especially our new Preview Now section. Keep Rockin'! Liz http://www.keeprockinmag.com

Excellent! I will see you both there! I'm playing on the 12th.

Tracy September 5, 2009 at 10:24 am

Well that makes a bunch of sense! Gotta celebrate with your bud, if it's an option.

Are you intending it to hold as a public or private event?

Janet Lyn September 15, 2009 at 5:42 am

Thanks so much for singing us your songs in ClovisNM! Still don’t know how you found me on twitter but I’m so glad you did. We really enjoyed the music at Joe’s Boots and the Clovis Music Festival and we hope you’ll play your music here again! You should look into coming 20miles south of Clovis to PortalesNM too to play at Eastern New Mexico University…bigger than a house party??!!

As a writer/singer/musician myself, I really like your songwriting…so have passed along link to this site to others across country. Love the widget with song samples and links2buy too! Hope you are able to share your songs with many more through your 50StatesIn50Days Tour!

I’ve been walking around all day singing and especially can’t get “Tennessee Girl” out of my head. Your music makes me smile. Best wishes!

Linda Bombolino September 15, 2009 at 12:36 pm

Kev send me the particulars again & I'll see what I can do

kaapeach September 22, 2009 at 5:56 pm

If you are still looking for a place in Wisconsin, check Bullshooters Saloon in Weston! Huge Country Bar!

kevinmontgomery September 23, 2009 at 1:17 am

Thanks Janet! I'd love to play the University sometime…………Kevin

kevinmontgomery September 23, 2009 at 1:18 am

Sarah, Great! Let's do it! Kevin

HeyPegarita September 23, 2009 at 5:45 am

If you're still in need of a NY date, the folks in the Rochester & Buffalo area love country music…try contacting the promotions people at WBEE (country radio station in Rochester)…maybe someone there would have a suggestion on hooking you up for a New York stop on your tour. Not sure if they can do anything, but they are always supportive of up and coming country artists…

Jackson Browne is awesome…one of my all-time favorite singer-songwriters. Just saw him in concert in August…it had been way too long between shows!

deerfoot September 24, 2009 at 10:16 pm

Kevin I loved everything I had heard but you had me at Not Defeated, thats this ole girl only differance in the song is I do love myself and those around me need to get it.I'm not defeated I just need to get my breath.I have just been listening and even took my long hair down and let it just go with my body as I went with the music.Dear are you playing in Birmingham,AL.?I live about a hour away and have room to sleep 5 not my bed I sleep alone and I have as big back yard, big. And a nice screened in front porch with rockers etc. to just kick back and relax in and there is a brand new motel practically within walking distance.Send me a email as I will check it quicker and I wish you all the best on your 50 state concert tour.I know you will be great where ever you are. Denise Smith

Barbie Wilson September 26, 2009 at 9:08 pm

HI Kevin…we could host a house concert in Key West Nov 28!!! Let us know! Love your music! Barbie

kevinmontgomery September 27, 2009 at 10:44 am

Thanks Barbie! I think I have one in Miami on that date. Can I take a raincheck?

amyvance October 2, 2009 at 1:04 am

Not sure if you've got SC booked yet or not, but here's a link to the Historic Train Depot in Myrtle Beach. There have been some pretty good events there, and with the right publicity it could work. We have a singer/songwriter group plus many musicians in the area. Sorry I don't have the ability to schedule a house party…
Amy Vance (and H.B. Beverly)

kevinmontgomery October 2, 2009 at 8:35 am

Thanks alot! Do you know the contact details for the booker? I'd love to get in touch. I think Kaci is on track with a house concert down there, but not sure. Will check with her.
It was great to see you and H.B. last year. You both are favorites.
Thanks for commenting!

kevinmontgomery October 2, 2009 at 8:39 am

Thank you, Denise. Yes, we will play somewhere in Alabama……..just not sure where at the moment……..I will post it as soon as we determine the location.
Thanks again, Kevin
