I debated on whether I should live stream today’s session, but finally decided to……..John Hobbs just got here…..Ken Coomer, and some guy named “Hags” on the bass. I don’t know him, but I trust Ken, and apparently he plays with Josh Rouse, so I figure he is good.

Ok, here are previews of the 7 new songs that I’ve finished so far. I extended the recording sessions by 3 days……today, tomorrow, and Friday. Will be recording 3 new songs. I seriously need some pre-sales to finish paying for this record, so please think about pre-ordering your copy. We are coming up on Christmas soon! Ha! So, please think about ordering one for a friend if you already ordered yours!

Raw…..and alot of the songs were written in the studio………on the mic. The band on this record, and my heros are Shawn Byrne, Danny White, Ken Coomer, John Hobbs, Michael Webb, Scotty Huff…….incredible friends, and my ace engineer co-hort Michael Esser has been killing it. Got distracted by lunch, but I have a song to record tonight………Ken Coomer, Shawn Byrne, and Danny White will be the band……..called the session for 9:30pm. I know.
Mike Esser and I like to work late……..we are recording “I Will Love You Anyway” and will try to write one in the studio on the fly.
I asked Ken Coomer if he was cool with that……and he said, “are you kidding? I was in Wilco”……..he said it was a pretty common for that to transpire.

We are honing in on things here at 16 Ton Studios in Nashville. John Hobbs is coming back in at 6pm tonight to record another song i’m writing. He is in the studio right now producing the new Vince Gill cd, but is making time to come and help me with this record. I’m blessed. I have amazing friends, and that includes you guys and gals.
Everyone who has pre-ordered their cd has their part in making this record. I’m thankful. That is the theme that keeps coming up in my mind……..
