Saw Kevin's show at the Star and Garter Club in Manchester (England). This was the third time I have seen Kevin in four years. Kevin is a true With all trains cancelled and travelling difficult, I was fearful that the gig would be called off, but the hard-core 2:30AM crew were out and the show went ahead as planned. Kevin's support act of Danny White and Shawn Byrne were on first and got the crowd warmed up with some heart-felt songs about the American depression and it's effect upon ordinary working people. Then Kevin came on stage with the legendary Al Perkins (who was celebrating his birthday). He gave us the new album (I think in it'sentirety) which was brilliant and then set the place on fire with the old stuff. "Red Blooded American Boy" was the highlight for me, closely followed by a surprise rendition of Led Zep's "Whole lotta love". Kevin did two and a half hours on stage as a thank-you to the brave souls who had ventured out on a stormy night. He came off stage at midnight and still found time to chat and sign autographs.

| It is always a joy to see you live in concert - especially at King Tut's which always seems to bring out the best in you ! The concert on the 5th Oct was simply outstanding from beginning to end. Absolutely blown away by the new album 'True'. Can't get enough of it in the car, house, ipod - no album fillers here - all great stuff. My four year old son, Jamie, is hooked on 'Back in Baby's Arms' (bizarrely heard it last night whilst watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles !!!) - other standouts for me being 'Tryin' to Fly with One Wing', 'Drive' and 'Nothing'. Just how you havent yet made a major breakthrough is beyond my comprehension. Once heard, permanently hooked ! I will definitely be buying a few copies of 'True' to pass to the family for Christmas to spread the gospel ! Whatever you do, keep writing, touring and playing. You have loyal fans who will always come out to hear you. With my very best wishes for the success of 'True' and everything else you do ! Regards, Roy Smith p.s. If this gets posted on the notice board - HEY READER, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, ORDER 'TRUE' - IT'S BRILLIANT !!! |

I heard about you Kevin and saw you for the first time after being bored one evening and randomly going to The Borderline in London on January 16th. Wow - what a fantastic show and brilliant music. I am so lucky I caught you! I have bought your '2.30am' album since and I hope to see you again so please come back! None of my friends are interested in country, rock type music so I am also pleased to have met Keith at your concert and thanks to him for making it an enjoyable night out too. -- Lorraine |

Carbondale, Illinois wants to thank you for an unforgtettable evening of music. All of us had a wonderful time, and after speaking to people in the crowd, I can assure you that people who were unfamiliar with your music before February 10th are fans now, and looking for their next Kevin Montogmery concert experience. I hope you will return to Carbondale; the Longbranch will welcome you back anytime! Again, thanks! -- Jeff Hale |

| I first wrote you some 4 years ago about the big impact that 'Red Blooded American Boy' had on me. It was a personal journey from one man's pen to another man's life. The song's mood captured my imagination pretty damn vividly. I picked up my Washburn for the first time in years after a close friend met an untimely death and began to discover the feeling of song writing.
It is a craft few can master, or even configure thought to paper. I relearned the basic 10 chords of country music and polished them every night, always ending with Red Blooded American Boy just before I cut out the light. Few understand what you give to the industry. I don't know how they treat you, but I'm sure that's just another long story. I do live in Arkansas just an hour outside Memphis and do understand the southern soil and all it provides. The one thing it did do was deliver a song writer from Nashville that will forever be in my dashboard playing on heavy rotation. Wish we could see you sometime. But until then, the Washburn rings of the AM, C, G, G7, F, D, A, Bm, B and E Chord every night. See ya Kevin. And tell the Brits that they haven't sampled earth until they drive alongside a cotton field in the south during mid-august. Thanks man! -- Scott Reed |

Spirit Store, Dundalk, Ireland Friday 22nd January 2005. Brilliant show. First time to see and hear Kevin, hopefully not the last. Bought great CD Live in Glasgow. Please return soon. -- Mary DLK |

| Hi Kevin, I've seen you three times now,at the Armadillo, Bein Inn and King Tuts and have enjoyed every performance immensely. Last night at King Tuts rates in my top ten best concerts. I bought 2:30am at the Armadillo gig last October and I have to say it totally blew me away when I played it. I have not been so excited by an album since Beatles' Please Please Me, Dylan's Freewheelin, S&G Sounds of Silence and the Byrds Greatest Hits - we're talking 40 years here! That is how highly I rate the album as it has wonderful lyrics and phrases which paint strong images, great melodies which are beautifully delivered by a very haunting voice full of light and shade. When I listen to the album on headphones at 2.30 on a Sunday morning after returning home from a gig, beer and sandwich in hand, I feel like I'm sitting beside you in the truck on some distant freeway on the other side of the pond. I believe you have an immense talent and please keep coming to Scotland. You come from a great musical background and your level of success fills me with great joy. In my eyes you're a superstar (though humble, modest and handsome too) Keep up the great work! Willie McCairney. |

| Bristol 01/05/04 fantastic performance with a great atmosphere fuelled by all that Polish beer! Looking forward to seeing you again in the UK soon. Malcolm and Alison,Bristol |

| Just wanted to say hi and what an excellent show it was last night. In fact it was so good my friend didnt want to leave and missed her last train home. It's only 2nd time she's seen you. I ended up taking her home ... an extra 60 miles of driving but at least she agreed with me, it was well worth it even though she did have to be up at 5 for work this morning!! Your onstage banter with the guys is great and something that would probably be missed if the venues were any bigger. I, myself love the Borderline I've been going there years but I so wish you could make it big so everyone can sample the 'Kev Experience'. Karen Phillips |
||
| Just to say a big thankyou for the fantastic concert at Yarrow Village Hall on Friday night. We can't stop talking about how good the music was, it just goes to show that even the smallest and most modest of venues can be one of the best nights! Please keep me posted if there are more concerts on the horizon. We will spread the word !!

| Came to see you do your Acoustic Date in Silsoe Village Hall last Friday Night. Just a note to say that we came out of interest and left the concert, knowing we had seen a master at work. We loved the music - where have you been all our lives? Also what a nice person, willing to give your time to anyone who wanted to shake your hand. I'm sure that everyone that attended feels that in our Small Village Hall we were priviliged and blessed to have your company on a magical evening, A star in the making! You said you would bring your band the next time, WHEN IS THAT DATE? ... PLEASE PROMISE TO COME BACK SOON ! Mike and Jan Jarrard Silsoe Bedfordshire |
||
| We came to see you play at The Maze in Nottingham, and I nearly never came as i felt really poorly. but i'm so glad i did make it, as it was a brilliant night. We didn't want to leave but I finally wilted at 12:00am and sadly we had to go home. I so wanted you to sign my cd that I'd brought but you were still playing. Thanks for a great night!!! Can't wait til you are back in the UK. Sue & Mark Harrison |

| Hey, I saw you at the Winter Dance party in Eau Claire Wisconsin and thought it was outstanding. 'Heartbeat' almost brought my Mom to tears and so did 'Flower Of My Heart'. Thanks for the photos and the autographs. That was a great experience. Amber Stricklin Menomonie, Wisconsin |

| I saw your video of 'Let's All Go To California' on CMT, almost by mistake while channel-surfing, and was stopped dead in my tracks by the power of the song. On my next trip to Tower Records, I found and bought 'Another Long Story', and now into about the 300th listening of the CD. Amazing, raw, insightful, emotional ... the best CD I've heard in years. Thank you for your passion. Oliver, Nashville, TN |
||
| Kevin, I don't know if you actually read these but i just wanted to say that 2.30am is the best record i've heard in 2003 by a long way. It's fantastic stuff. Hopefully you will be coming back to England in the near future,so we can see you play live. -- Mark, Birmingham England |
||
| Thank you for a wonderful night of music, emotion and laughs at Whelan's on Dec 29. Wonderful stuff! -- Smiley |

| I was one of the lucky 500 people who packed the Drury Theatre in Cleveland Ohio for the Buddy Holly Tribute this past Saturday night, December 6th 2003. The tribute sold out in under 5 minutes. After the show I was backstage and "pressed-the-flesh" with several noteworthy people including Maria Elena Holly, Joe Ely, Marshall Crenshaw, Nancy Griffith, Wanda Jackson, one of my old favorites Jimmy Dale Gilmore and one of my new-found favorites Kevin Montgomery! I got autographs from many of the performers in my program and will treasure this evening for years to come. I have always liked Buddy Holly's music and the way the tribute interspersed real film and radio footage of Holly himself in between the artists performances was very creative and touching. I had the time of my life at one of the best concerts I have ever witnessed (and that's saying a lot after all the concerts I've attended through the years)! | I was fortunate enough to attend all three of Kevin's solo, acoustic performances here in Florida while supporting the great Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. What a pleasant surprise! Having not been familiar with his material beforehand, I found him to be an amazing talent and a genuinely friendly personality. His acoustic rendition of 'Melrose' was phenomenal! -- Kristi, Orlando |

| Kevin, it was by chance that we ended up at the Mavericks concert at the Colston Hall in Bristol on the 20 Oct '03, and thank God we did, because we were introduced to your music! When you opened the concert, something special happened to our lives, we were mesmerized! What a performer! What a writer! What a man! We could have listened to you play all night, so we rushed out to buy your CD's in the interval! The fact that you took time out to talk to us all whilst signing our CD's was so personal, and means more to us than you know, 'thank you very much'! -- Amie, Lynn, Mel + Suzanne, Bristol, England |
||
| My Brother Kevin and me went to see the Mavericks on the 29th October in Ipswich and we didn't realise you were the support act. I couldn't wait as I have heard of you and listened to a few of your songs but never heard you live. When you came onto the stage there was a kind of magic in the air as none of us knew what to expect ... WELL what can I say apart from "Brilliant". Fear Nothing had to be my favourite, and after you had finished your set I had to come and buy your new cd 2.30am and get it signed. We couldn't believe how much time you were prepared to talk to us and everybody else, that was a truly magical moment. Needless to say the Mavericks kicked but I have to say a very big Thank You to you from both of us for making our night truly magical we will never forget it ... And by the way Fear Nothing deserves to be a number 1 hit. -- Matthew |
||
Just wanted to post to say we saw you at the Buddy Holly Festival in Lubbock this past month and everyone agreed you were the stand out artist! The songs you did with Robert Reynolds and Al Perkins were just magic to listen to. I really enjoyed listening to 'Wishing' and 'Flower of My Heart' but just was blown away by 'Fear Nothing'!! I have just ordered all your CDs so we can catch up and watch you get to where you rightfully belong. At The Top!!! -- Rod and Christine Jordan, Victoria, Australia |
||
Kevin, Your 'Fear Nothing' CD visits my player frequently, even after all these years. I get a kick out of turning folks on to your music who've never heard you. Your song that most often succeeds (for me, anyway) in having people say "Who IS that?!" is 'I Won't Close My Eyes'. My wish to you is that you're enjoying your run as much as I am enjoying watching you make it. -- Roger Kirkpatrick, Off the Wall Records, Abilene,
TX |
||
Having just become introduced to your music, I was surprised at how quickly it seemed to become a part of me. Music and concerts have always played a predomiant role in my life, but there comes a moment of clarity when you realise you've stumbled onto something truly unique and special. I was amazed to discover that you were available for a house concert and I was even more shocked to find it three days away! There was such passion in the music that it brought tears to the eyes. You played as if playing for an audience of thousands, instead of the small but intensely satisfied group of people that were there. Each and every one has turned into a new Kevin Montgomery fan. The night
was perfect; a full moon, a starry night, a roaring bonfire, and you and
your music. -- Annie Arnold-Yunk Coloma, WI |
||
As a 47 year old I thought I had experienced just about all the emotions possible for a music fan. However, your performance of 'Broken' at Glasgow King Tuts (with audience participation) put a shiver up my spine in a way seldom experienced. Thanks for making visits to Scotland a regular part of your annual plans.
Thanks also for introducing me to the music of Carter Wood and Robert
Reynolds independent of his Mavericks commitments. You have real friends
in the music business who clearly enjoy your music and company enough
to want to tour with you for the joy of performing. Your audience are
the lucky beneficiaries. -- David (and Anne) Reid |
||
Well Kevin, last Tuesday you and Al gave us an evening to remember at Hicksville (Porchfield). What an uplifting performance of such stunning tunes. It was a real privilege to hear and nearly touch such sublime artistry. Memories of most concerts usually fast fade ... this one will stay with us. You are always welcome on the Isle of Wight. -- David Fothergill |
||
I will be watching and listening again on 18th July at Pensford, (Charity Gig), Nr Bristol, England. Came to see you for your Birthday show at the Fiddlers, Bristol too - What a show...!! We all had a wonderful time, as you all did on stage!! Before that I was a Kevin Montgomery virgin and my 1st visit to see
you came earlier this year at the Polish Club, Bristol. -- Jackie Hallam |
