The State of Things so far in 2019-Beth Nielsen Chapman, Emily Ortego, Buddy Holly Foundation

I have not posted since 2017. Sometimes you have to go away for awhile to recharge the creative well. That is what I’ve done since the conclusion of the Garry Tallent tour of the UK/Ireland. I’ve worked, continued raising my son, and lived life. Also, I’ve been participating quietly in the songwriting workshops sponsored by the Buddy Holly Foundation, and worked on their behalf as one of the ambassadors. I appeared in the recent Buddy Holly documentary “Not Fade Away” and have begun work on a documentary about my father.
Springing out from the Buddy Holly writing weeks….I co-wrote Beth Neilsen Chapman’s new single “Come to Mine”, along with Beth and Graham Gouldman from 10cc, and also co-wrote a song called “So I Sing” with a young woman from Lafayette, Louisiana called Emily Ortego. She will be singing it this Wednesday on American Idol. She is excellent and has a beautiful story to tell through her song. Tune in.
Ok, I must go, but before I do…..all the cds, except for Fear Nothing are now on iTunes and are ready to be downloaded.
