Flying to Belfast to appear on Ralph McLean’s BBC Ulster show tonight and Johnny Hero’s this afternoon-Tune in live

by Kevin on January 25, 2012

UPDATE-just got done with the U105 interview…..word is now that the BBC Ulster interview won’t go out live tonight…..recording it and then will air next week. Will update. Feverish this morning, but I will get on a plane and fly to Belfast to do some radio prior to the Irish leg of the tour next week. Ruth Trimble and I will be on Ralph McLean’s BBC Ulster show sometime between 8pm and 10pm. Ralph is a REAL music man. He has always been very good to me. You can listen live to his program here. We will also appear on Johnny Hero’s Drivetime show in Belfast at 4pm. You can listen live to Johnny’s show as well.
The Irish leg of the tour starts in Dublin, and takes us through Belfast, Omagh, and Inneskillen. Please tell your Irish friends to come to one of the shows! Belfast-based, Angel-voiced Ruth Trimble will be joining Kevin Montgomery and the Endangered Livers on piano and backing vocals, and will also be opening up the shows. She is awesome. Mike McAdam also returns on the guitar…….his slide guitar is spectacular. Listen to “The Greatest Love That Never Was” below……….

Saturday, Jan. 28th at 10pm London time i’ll do a live streaming “house concert” from my dining room. Last Friday’s live web stream was a blast. I originally was going to broadcast for an hour and a half…….I ended up doing four and a half hours! The chat room was hilarious……..people had me laughing mid-song with some of the stuff they were saying. So, with so many folks in the US saying they couldn’t tune in with it being a Friday afternoon……….this time i’ll do it on a Saturday. So, it will be 5pm Eastern time, 4pm Central time, 3pm mountain…….etc, etc.

If you attended last week’s “house concert”…….please leave a comment below on why you will be watching again? Or, why your friends should tune in!

Please join me. You can always watch, but if you want to “chat” via the chatroom, then I think you will need to create a profile with Ustream.tv……which takes about 5 minutes. Some of the most fun is had in the chat room while the broadcast is going on………you can find me show at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/kevin-montgomery-s-50-states-in-50-days If you’d like to tip (just like you would if you were in the Hogsbreath and you walked up to the tip jar, then you can do that right here on this website via paypal….here.
Or here is the embedded link…….but if you want to chat, or see the chat…….I would follow the other link. What you will view right now is last recording session for “Fireworks” from the new cd…….it will go away the moment we go live at 10:oopm London time-for a reminder right before we go live join the Facebook Event page. I’ll update you right before I go live.

So, for those that are just checking in after awhile away………….i’ve finished the new cd, and hope to have copies for the tour. Here are some of the songs……..The Greatest Love That Never Was” seems to be the band’s favorite. Mike McAdam kills it on the slide guitar, and Ken Coomer played the drums beautifully on this one……..

I can’t wait to hear Ruth sing with me on this song on the tour………………

If you attended last week’s live “house concert” then please leave a comment below. Tell me why you will come back again? Or why your friends should tune in this time?
Download this unreleased track from a show in Dundalk, Ireland featuring Andrea Zonn on violin and harmonies. She sings like a bird. This is my gift to you for putting up with me……I Will Always Love You-MP3 Download
