It was been a busy few months, and I have to admit I’ve been having a hard time adjusting to not being on the road……having every second spoken for. I had drinks with Sean Snook a couple of nights ago, and we commiserated about how we both were feeling the same way.
During our evening at the pub I showed him the post I did a few days ago called “2009 50 States in 50 Days in Pictures”…..we laughed, smiled, and talked about the tour. You’ve got to check out the happy faces along the way……mostly our house concert hosts from each State.
We talked alot about the 2010 50 States in 50 Days tour. It is a worthy endeavor, and we need your help, so if you want to host a house concert in your State, then please email me.
During the evening he showed me a videologue he just completed of our New Mexico show. If you are a Buddy Holly fan, then you need to see it. We pretty much got a VIP after hours tour of the Norman and Vi Petty Rock and Roll Museum. Sean got to sit in Buddy’s chair in the studio, and hold his Fender Amp. Special.
In a couple of weeks I will travel to Los Angeles and do house concerts through California, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, and possibly Nashville. I’ll be writing for a couple of days in Los Angeles before I begin the drive, and then we make our way to Austin for SXSW. Email me if you want to host a house concert in one of those States……..or any States for that matter!
There are 3 apartments available for the 2010 Songs in the Sun in Crete week. It happens from June 15th to 22nd. Reserve your spot now. Check out the post about it.
Ok, besides making a new record……..I reckon the biggest news is that there will be a Kevin Montgomery and the Roadtrippers 10th Anniversary Reunion tour in late Dec/Jan. of 2010/2011. I’ve already booked a bunch of the dates, and more are coming in daily. We are open to playing YOUR village hall, so get in touch. Yes, there are rumors that The Mavericks will reunite, but that won’t prevent this tour from happening-there are alot of new fans/friends that have never seen a Roadtrippers show….the Roadtrippers feature Robert Reynolds and Paul Deakin from The Mavericks, and Mike McAdam from Steve Earle and the Dukes. Everyone is on the same page, and we are all excited to return to the UK/Europe. I examine the reunion in this post.
As always, if you would like to host a house concert, then email me. I will be touring in Japan, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Holland, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the US this year, so I’m open to house concerts in any country! Email me.
Ok folks, take care and I hope I see you out on the road somewhere……….and if we do…..I will probably be listening to these songs.
