Happy New Year……a nice start, and positivity……Mickleton, England.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope last night was fun and safe. I’ve decided that this year is going to be a good one. Last year was fine, but this year will be better. Quite frankly i’m sick of all the doom and gloom politicians, talking heads, experts, economists…….all of them. Life is what you make it, and I plan on making this year a good one.
Last night we drove toward Bournemouth, England…….didn’t make it all the way, but spent the night in the campervan with carefully selected, ready-made meals, a bottle of wine, some dvds, and games……it ended up being alot of fun. Amazing how much fun you can have when you set your mind to it. My boy told me he loved me about 5 times and said, “this is the best campin’ ever.”

Spent the day walking down the strand in Bournemouth……..rode a “roller coaster”, and then had lunch…….by that time the sunset had started. The sun goes down so early in the wintertime in England………..

Back to reality…….right now the campervan is outside……..charging the battery overnight, and checking the weather reports for Northern England and Scotland. I’m going to try to leave early in the morning to get a jump on the snow, and other drivers. The show tomorrow night is in Mickleton, England……in the north of England. It is one of the most beautiful areas of England, but also can be a little more prone to snow. We will see.
The village hall we are playing is an old stone building, and the shows there tend to be lively……with folk traveling from Newcastle, Darlington, and surrounding areas to the gig. I hope they are adventurous as I am tomorrow night………
